Reported Questions & Commands

Reported QUESTIONS build on Module 11’s indirect questions: keep the question word (πού/πώς/πότε/γιατί) or αν (“whether”) + a plain indicative, no inversion - «Με ρώτησε αν μένω εδώ». The B2 addition is the same OPTIONAL backshift: the reported present may shift to the imperfect - «Με ρώτησε αν έμενα εδώ» (both correct). Reported COMMANDS are new. A direct command is an IMPERATIVE («Φύγε!»); Greek has no infinitive, so “told me to leave” becomes a να-CLAUSE after a verb of telling/asking - «Μου είπε να φύγω» (imperative Φύγε! → να φύγω, the Module-7 να + dependent, its subject now matching whoever was told). Keep the two patterns apart: a reported STATEMENT takes ότι/πως + indicative (Είπε ότι φεύγει - a fact); a reported COMMAND takes να + the dependent (Είπε να φύγει - an instruction). It is Module 11’s ότι-vs-να split again, with commands firmly on the να side.
