Weak Object Pronouns (Clitics)
The weak object pronouns are the unstressed accusative clitics με, σε, τον / την / το (me, you, him / her / it) and μας, σας, τους / τις / τα. Unlike English, they normally come BEFORE the verb: με βλέπει = “he sees me”. They are the everyday way to say “me / you / him” as the object of a verb.
The rule
The weak object pronouns are the unstressed accusative clitics: με / σε / τον (me / you / him), την / το (her / it), and in the plural μας / σας / τους (τις / τα). Unlike English, the clitic normally comes before the verb: με βλέπει = “he sees me”, σε αγαπώ = “I love you”. The clitic and verb read as a single unit.
