Double-Object Clitic Combinations
When both an indirect and a direct object are clitics, Greek stacks them before the verb in a fixed order - genitive (indirect) before accusative (direct): μου το έδωσε = “he gave it to me”. This ordering is the hardest edge of the clitic system; the goal here is to RECOGNISE the correct order, not yet to produce it freely.

English uses the opposite order (“it to me”), so this is the hardest edge of the system - recognise the μου-το order rather than producing it.
